End of January

Got to love VA weather; snow than 70 degree weather than 50s and rain. Tuesday since it was so nice took Gabriel to playground here at apartment complex; Lucas slept the whole time.

Wednesday morning had Lucas doc appointment which went okay. They wanted him to be back at his birth¬† weight which he was close but 3 oz off ( he weighs 9lbs 12oz). So they want to make sure he is getting 2oz every 2-3hrs. If I don’t pump enough milk than I supplement with formula. He has to go back in 10 days on the 8th to check weight again than hopefully that will be back on track and than he will not have to go back until he is 2 months old.
After appointment went to my grandma’s because she hadn’t seen Lucas yet. Visited there for a bit than had a evening at home.

Thursday cleaned in morning and painted with Gabriel. Tried to nap when kids did but couldn’t get to sleep. Went to take my test online and the Intetnet froze on me so I emailed professor and told her what happened and she replied back saying to call blackboard tech support and so I did and they said professor has to reset it so now I’m waiting to hear back from professor and hopefully get it straight tomorrow. Hoping that I don’t end up getting an zero on it.
Lucas is very fussy this evening. Gabriel with his dad for the night. Kirby at friend’s house.

Supposed to get a little bit of snow tonight and than again this weekend. I don’t mind the snow but everyone freaks out and goes crazy.

Busy Weekend

Friday morning worked on school work than went to library to type it up and submit it to professor luckily Lucas napped the whole time which worked out perfectly like I planned. My class is going well after the first 2 chapters I have a 96 in the class which the class is retail marketing and organization.

Saturday morning went to my mom’s for a bit. She got some good pictures of Lucas. My grandma got to hold and feed Lucas. In the afternoon went to a birthday party which Gabriel had a blast playing with two other boys that were there who were 5 and 6. Than spent the evening at home Lucas was a little fussy due to having gas but he calmed down about 11:30.

Sunday morning went to church. I decided to go because I want to keep things the same schedule for Gabriel and he loves going to his Sunday school class plus every one wanted to see Lucas and I missed going last week. Spent the afternoon doing things around apartment. In the evening took the kids over to Kirby’s dad house so they could see Lucas.

Doctor and organization

This week got started off rough not getting much sleep. Luckily my mom took off Tuesday and spent the day with me. She help me get things organized in the kitchen and also in the bedroom for when we get the crib. We got a lot done went out for a bit Lucas slept through the whole outing. I got sleep last night because Kirby feed Lucas with what I had pumped before so I got like 6 hrs.
Lucas will not latch on because my breast are engorged but at least I am pumping and he is getting breast milk.
Got birth announcements done thanks to my mom because she helped me get the pics and stamps.
Lucas had his doc apt this morning. Some people amaze me sitting in the waiting a mom tells her toddler who is about two she better get her ass over here and sit or else. Than there was a man in there who was on his cell phone telling half his life story and cussing. I wonder if people even think I mean hello you are in a children’s waiting room.
His doctor’s appointment went okay he now weighs 9 pounds and 3 ounces he is back on track and his next appointment is next Wednesday morning.

Lucas 1st Doc Appt 1-21-13

Lucas did very well. He weighed 9 pounds and 7 ounces when we left the hospital and he now weighs 8 pounds and 13 ounces. He has lost a little more weight than the doctors would like for I have to supplement some feeding with formula . I am not giving up on breast feeding  but have to add formula until his weight is up. Have another appointment Wednesday morning for them to check weight. Other than the weight he is doing very well.
